Chance For Children supports 75 street-connected children in Dambai Oti Region.

The Chance For Children, a Non Governmental Organisation which provides opportunity to street children, has disclosed that between 2023-2024, the organisation has supported 75 street child and children who engaged in child labour in Dambai Oti Region.

Speaking at the 25th Anniversary celebration of the organisation in Dambai on 18th September, 2024, The branch coordinator for Chance For Children Madam Huzumat Bawa said Chance For Children has been supporting street-connected children in Ghana for them to build a better future for them and their families adding to that, street workers are present in 5 cities across the country namely Tamale, Accra, Dambai, Kumasi and Takoradi.

According to her, Chance For Children has been in the Oti Region for the past 2 years and with the help of Ghana Health Service, Social Welfare, Market Associations and other Stakeholders, 75 children have been supported in education and skill training.

The Regional Manager for Chance For Children in Oti Region Mr Ernest Nii Noi advised parents to support their children for a better future since it is their responsibility.

Some beneficiaries who took part of the 25th Anniversary celebration thanked Chance for Children for this initiative and putting smiles on the faces of street-connected children.
