Jasikan MCE calls for collaboration and innovation in developing tourism in Oti Region.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Jasikan

Madam Elizabeth Kessewaah has called for collaboration and innovation in developing tourism in the region since it plays a pivotal role in our socio-economic development, contributing to employment, foreign exchange earnings, and cultural diplomacy.

According to her, the Oti Region in particular, has breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality, is a testament to the vast potential of tourism in the region and Ghana as a whole.

Madam Kessewaah said this at the 2024 Oti Regional Tourism Awards on 20th September, 2024 at Okagyakrom a suburb of Jasikan under the theme Celebrating, Innovation and Recorgnizing Execellence in Ghana’s Tourism sector.

 

“We must prioritise sustainability, ensuring that the natural beauty and cultural assets that make our country unique one and preserved for future generations” she said.

The maiden edition of 2024 Oti Regional Tourism Awards brought together Ghana Tourism Authority(GTA), Security Services Personnel’s, Chiefs from the Region where the media, individuals were honoured for their contribution to tourism in the Oti Region.
