Reshape works on Dambai town roads commences

The residents of Dambai in the Oti Region has expressed joy on the commencement of the town roads which has been abandoned for several months .

Madam Harriet Nsieful, a chopbar operator on the residency road told kanofmonline that, their business has been affected due to the poor nature of their road, she said pragia and okada riders normally charge high rates ploughing the rough roads which makes it very difficult for their customers to come and buy from them, she lamented on the rampant attacks by rubbers which made most people who ply the road at night live in fear.

The story wasn’t different from the road leading to the Health center which happens to be the biggest government health facility in the regional capital as the transportation of pregnant women and patients has become a nightmare.

Some drivers and residents interviewed about the reshaping works , applauded the Akkuffo Addo led government for initiating the DRIP project and making the dream a reality.

Mr. Asante Wiafe, the regional planning officer assured the residents of government commitment to ensure all roads network within the municipality will be in good shape.

Mr. Wiafe however disclosed that, though the previous contract for Dambai town roads has been terminated, the DRIP initiative will bring a new dimension of road development in every locality.
