Church of pentecost rallies Ghanaians for peaceful elections in Krachi East

The church of pentecost under the Krachi East municipality has organized a peace campaign with a float and launch to intensify it’s outreach to ensure peace before, during and after the December 7 polls.

The church of pentecost has over the years committed it’s members nationwide to be responsible and peaceful citizens as agents of peace.

It based on this conviction that the Krachi East municipal church of pentecost organized a peace walk on Sunday 27 October 2024.

It brought together politicians, the Ghana police service, National commission for civic education and a host of others.

During the peace walk, youth of lakeside assembly and the central assembly at junction church of pentecost combed through the street of Dambai with colorful Lacoste with inscriptions such as: we need peace in all circumstances, I stand for peace.

Launching the walk, the Krachi East District pastor Rev. Benjamin Addo Boateng admonished all to seek peace and pursue it, stressing the need for all to live in peace with everyone.

Sahadatu Salifu, a representative of NCCE in Krachi East municipality advised Ghanaians not to allow politics to divide them by saying ” our theme for this year is together we can build Ghana so get involved, ” the government cannot do it alone .

She also took the gathering through money politics and advised the electorates about the most affected persons during riots as the elderly, children, pregnant women and persons with disability.

The municipal chief executive of Krachi East, Hon. Charles Gyamfi Boateng implored all to preach and demonstrate peace at all times.

He stated that peace is an essential commodity and underscored the need to talk about peace at every given opportunity.

Though the Parliamentary candidate for NPP, Hon . Michael Yaw Gyato could not make it to the event, he sent his emmisary to assure the church of his commitment to peace.

The Parliamentary candidate for NDC, Hon. Nelson Kofi Gyabab showed his commitment to peace and assured the church of doing everything possible to ensure peace.

The gathering was led by Lakeside assembly pastor, Rev. Prince Kono Mensah

To commit before, during and after the election to prayer. Patriotic songs were sung to draw the curtains to the end of the event.
