Mahama criticizes NPP’s selective development , promises fair infrastructure distribution

John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate has condemned the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for allegedly focusing development projects in Regions that have supported them in previous elections while neglecting others.

Mahama agues that, this selective approach hinders equitable development nationwide, pledging to correct this imbalance if elected as president.

During a tour in the Oti Region, on Monday November 4, 2024 at Dambai main lorry station, Mahama criticized what he termed as regional disparities in resource allocation under Nana Addo,s administration.

” NPP failed to build the regional hospital in Dambai because Krachi East indegenes didn’t vote for them. Krachi East has not benefited from NPP as a party, will not upgrade Dambai College of Education into a university but rather give you a new university in addition to DACE, I will find means to raise money construction of a bridge over the Oti river” he said.

Chiefs and supporters gathered for the event including Nana Dasebre Bongya, Kyonke Overlord praised Mahama for his past contributions by giving Krachi East Yabram community day school.

However, Nana Bonjah raised the need robust healthcare infrastructure especially a regional hospital in Dambai, portable drinking water and a cabinet minister from Krachi East to address their needs.

” We are very grateful for what you have done for us , but our people are yearning for a regional hospital so I appeal you make it your priority when you become president.
