Hitherto, the facility had been working without a functional operating theater which led to limitations in providing some essential health care, especially in the surgical discipline and more importantly with maternal care.
Due to situations where major and minor general surgical cases were not attended to which led to lost of patients confidence in it’s health care delivery capabilities.
Speaking at the ceremony, the municipal health director Dr. Amin Abdul Mutalib thanked the leadership of SOCO and stakeholders for their immense support in making the theater project a reality and thus bringing hope to patients especially pregnant women.
The chief of Dambai Nana Kwaku Beyornor thanked the MCE and Hon. Michael Yaw Gyato for fighting and making this dream a reality and asked the leadership of the facility to always call on him for all necessary assistance.
